Our dad was a legend, a wonderful man, always knowing best, so cruelly taken from us and laid too soon to rest My husband was my one true love, the love of all my life, A gardener, a reader, a family man, for that I am one proud wife Our grandad loved to help and fuss, he spoiled us very much, A one of a kind, our hero and never complained of such Our brother was a clever man, someone to look up to in awe, A pearl of wisdom and knowledge, the leader of all us four Our friend he was a kind and caring man, he always had a smile A wonderful sense of humour, now resting for a while He never would have changed a thing and had a happy life, He had a lovely family and a truly loving wife I sometimes think this is a dream and will wake up very soon, to hear him say I love you more than the sun, the stars and the moon A spartan until the very end when the pain had most definitely gone, he slipped away so peacefully, but in memory he will live on In all our lives, you have certainly left a huge and gaping hole, You really were a gentleman, a proud and happy soul A hero, a strong and wise and loving man, who smiled and laughed every day, But God was missing an angel, what more can I say?
